Picklephobia- it’s real

Let's talk phobias. I have a few. I get horribly claustrophobic, MRIs, super crowded spaces and events, small dark spaces- all normal claustrophobia, right? Well, I had a massive panic attack when I was swimming with the stingrays in Grand Caymen years ago. The water is really shallow off the coast in Sting Ray City. The stingrays swarm all around you stacked on top of each other in almost vertical like columns. I completely freaked and had to sit the rest of the day out on the boat while everyone else swam with the sting rays and snorkeled.

I also have a weird thing with paper. I hate receipts, paper bags, labels, stickers,

paper that gets wet - it grosses me out. 🤮 So of course my husband and children love to throw all of that yuck on the counter in the kitchen. Then I immediately throw it all out. Phew- seriously it stresses me out seeing it all over the place. And then my husband/kids freak out because I probably grew out a receipt from 2 weeks ago that they just realized they needed. 😬

But my weirdest quirk is that I am picklephobic. I absolutely hate pickles. They are a really rude food in that they leak all over everything else on your plate.

I may have once flipped out on my father in law who tried to bring a jar of pickles into our first house right after we moved in. I told him the pickles had to go and he needed to take them back. Apparently he got a little offended and stormed out. At least he took the pickles with him.

What are your quirky phobias? Comment and let me know I'm not the only weird one.
